URPoint Details
On the west side of Loch Ryan in the Rhinns of Galloway peninsula with the lovely little Loch Connell to the west and beyond are the remains of Balsarroch House where in 1777 Sir John Ross the Arctic Explorer was born.
To the northwest is Corsewall Point with its lighthouse and near Corsewall Castle once owned by Alexander Campbell, a son of Sir Duncan Campbell of Loudoun
