Kirkby St Chad's Church Completely rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1871, originally Norman, has a beautiful tub-shaped Norman font, carved with Old Testament scenes. The church has an ancient foundation, preceding the Norman conquest, and a church on the site is recorded in the Domesday Book
