A village at the eastern end of the 10 mile long Loch Rannoch, the road encircles the loch and offers fine views of Schichallion 3547 ft.
Queens View, 753ft on the north bank of Loch Tummel, was so named because Queen Victoria said she was impressed by the west view towards Schichallion.
