To the south flows the River Ock and to the north the Thames and crossed by a beautiful and probably the oldest bridge called Newbridge leading into the countryside.
The name ‘Bagpuize’ is derived from the Norman when it was acquired after the Conquest.
The church with its domed belfry is supported by eight oak pillars built in 1699.
Nearby is a beautiful pair of wrought iron gates which lead to Kingston House a splendid brick mansion dating from 1720.
The gardens are open to the public and you can expect to see roses, shrubs, bulbs and herbaceous borders.
