This impressive, four storey Georgian mansion dating from the early 18th century was originally built for the King family. It stands on the banks of the River Boyle not far from Boyle Abbey.
The story, the ˜Kings of Connacht', is told through a variety of displays and focuses on the turbulent history and elaborate pageantry of the Kings of Connacht, on whose land the house was built, the arrival of the King family and the many battles of the time.
