Kilmany (kil-many)
A little place relatively unknown except for one of its famous sons.
Jim Clark, the racing car driver, was born in Chirnside on 4 March 1936 and died in Hockenheim on 7 April 1968.
There is lovely little bronze statue on a quiet road marking this famous Scot's career.
He became World Champion Racing car driver twice and was considered by many as the greatest driver of all time.
He won 25 Grand Prix events and there is a museum dedicated to him in Duns.
