URPoint Details
A quaint old town sitting on the banks of the River Garnock. The church dating from 1654 has a carved pulpit and a very grand gallery with colourful coats of arms of the Crawford family. The ruins of Kilbirnie Place once the seat of the Earls of Crawford dates from the 14th century and was badly damaged by fire in the 18th century. Nearby are the ruins of two other castles: Glenarnock and Ladyland.
