URPoint Details
A quaint little town on the estuary of the Gwendraeth on Carmarthen Bay famous for its cockles with a charter was granted by Edward III.
There are some interesting buildings including several 13th and 14th century houses.
The priory of which traces can still be seen was founded in 1130 by the Benedictines.
