A pleasant place with lovely stone-built cottages and some almshouses dated 1677.
The church is a fine example of Early English to Perpendicular style with good woodwork.
To the southeast, off the Oxford road on the west bank of the River Cherwell is the beautiful early Jacobean House of Water Eaton with a small chapel dated 1610 standing nearby.
