URPoint Details
The village once lay on the outer borders of the Kingdom of the Iceni tribe, who were enslaved after the uprising led by Queen Boudicca.
Pieces of Iron Age pottery have been discovered, together with human remains, a seal, and an ancient stirrup decorated with jewels. Several Roman coins have also been found.
Very pretty with lovely farms leading into to the village with a delightful little pub called the ‘Checkers’ which has tiny little square glass windows.
