This outstanding neoclassical house was remodelled by Robert Adams, 1764-73, who created the magnificent Library. Many rooms contain displays of English neoclassical furniture.

There is a selection of Old Masters, among the finest a Self Portrait by Rembrandt and paintings by British artists including Turner, Reynolds and Gainsborough.
The historic landscaped park, with sloping lawns and a lake form a perfect setting to the lakeside concerts held here each summer.
