A grey-stone village with an impressive gabled Elizabeth manor house, where William Morris the poet and artist was born.
Farm houses and farm workers' cottages make up most of this lovely little village close to the upper reaches of the River Thames.
A group of cottages near the church were built in 1902 by Morris's widow Jane, as a memorial to him.
