The house has the most complete and least altered sequence of Robert Adam interiors in England, and the rooms still contain their original collections of family portraits, old masters, and their original furniture. The vast Marble Hall and the Saloon with its coffered dome based on the Parthenon in Rome, is one of the most admired buildings of classical antiquity. The Hall's eastern Museum houses a fascinating collection of Indian and far Eastern objects assembled by Lord Curzon
