Based around the cottage in which the ‘Father of the American Navy’, spent his first 13 years before becoming an apprentice in the merchant navy.
The original building has been restored to the style of a gardener’s cottage of the 1740’s, with period furnishings, a replica of the cabin of the Bonhomme Richard, and a room containing a model of John Paul Jones and one of the cannons he is known to have used.
The cottage gardens have been laid out in period style.
