URPoint Details
On the extreme north tip of the Scottish mainland and is 873 miles from Land’s End in Cornwall. John o‘Groats overlooks the stormy waters of the Pentland Firth with Stroma Island beyond the Inner Sound. On the beach you can find small shells called ‘Groatie Buckies’. To the east is Duncansby Head with its lighthouse and to the south rise the three detached stacks of Duncansby.
