URPoint Details
This former Vickers plant, which manufactured the Supermarine Spitfire during the Second Wordl War, is now Jaguar's 'body In white' assembly and paint, trim and final assembly facility for all XJ, XF and XK models.
Over 93 acres in area, the plant has a manufacturing space of 1.4 million square feet and houses about 2,200 employees.
The site was originally built in 1938 by Vickers and has been a Jaguar plant since 1980.
