Picture-goers will know of the world famous Pinewood Studios (the British equivalent to Hollywood), situated near Iver Heath. It was called Pinewood due to the abundance of pine trees in the area.
A delightful village with shady lanes, charming cottages and houses one in particular is the 18th century brick and glass of Bridgefoot House.
The Parish Church has a 500 year old tower and an ancient bell-chamber. The most beautiful feature is the 12th century chancel with a wide pointed arch and a double piscina and triple sedilia. The pulpit is carved with cherubs is 200 years old and the Norman font is a square marble bowl on round pillars.
