URPoint Details
A tiny island between North and South Uist, vulnerable to wild winds from the sea. Rueval hill dominates a fretwork of lochs, bays and islands, and many of the folk on the island live at Bailivanish. It was from here that Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746 dressed as Flora MacDonald's maid and escaped to Skye.
