URPoint Details
Small admission charge to Round Tower, and donations requested for the cathedral.
Completed in 1285, it is the second longest cathedral in Ireland.
On view are rich carvings, in both timber and stone, some dating from the 13th century, colourful stained glass, and, everywhere the authentic air of a structure that has served the community for over 700 years.
The 9th century round tower is well worth the climb!
