One of the most famous memorial gardens in Europe. Dedicated to the memory of over 49 thousand soldiers who died in the 1914-18 war. The names of all the soldiers are contained in the granite bookroom.
The gardens are not only a place of remembrance but are also of architectural interest and of great beauty. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the gardens have sunken rose gardens, herbaceous borders and many beautiful trees.
