URPoint Details
One of the famous 'Roads to the Isles', this beautiful little place on the River Garry with an old ruined castle which had associations with Prince Charles Edward, and to the west are the beautiful Loch Garry and the Glen of Garry.
The castle belonged to the Macdonells of Glengarry. Many of the clan migrated to Canada in 1803 and founded a new Glengarry there.
The Kyle of Lochalsh road climbs west through the richly wooded Glen Garry to the lovely tree lined shore of Loch Garry.
