Hythe

Although a busy and bustling seafront in summer, the town has a mellow charm with old houses, inns and hilly roads cut through the Royal Military Canal. The canal was built as a defence against Napoleonic forces.
One of the most impressive churches in England is that of Leonard with its 13th century chancel.

Hythe along with Dover, Hastings, Romney and Sandwich make up the five Cinque Ports.
