A two-thirds replica of the famous Gokstad Ship excavated from a Viking burial near Oslo in Norway. The replica was sailed 1500 miles across the North Sea to Peel in 1979 by a 16 man crew of Manxmen and Norwegians in an epic voyage celebrating the millennium of the Tynwald, the island's parliament.
The story of this voyage is presented in the boathouse which now houses this beautifully-built boat.
