The village green is dominated by the flint stone church of St Leonard.
Adkins Woods forms an attractive background to the thatched and tiled timber-framed cottages along one side of the street.
On the other side is the old Guildhall, formerly a workhouse, then a village school and has now been converted to attractive houses.
