At the heart of the village outside the pub are a group of lime trees so intertwined that their branches form a canopy overhead. There are 12 of them and are known locally as the Apostles.
The old Nonconformist Chapel in England has a thatched roof, built in 1566 by Scottish artisans working on the great mansion of Longleat.
