Holyhead Golf Club

Founded in 1912, Holyhead is a seaside heathland 18 hole, par 71 course on Holy Island which is linked by causeway to Anglesey, close to the holiday resort of Treaddur Bay.

There are no trees but gets it character from the natural, undulating fairways, rocky outcrops and hemmed in by large expanses of gorse. The course is very testing in the wind, and there are marvellous sea views, none finer than from the elevated 10th tee from where a 360 degree panorama takes in Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula and a vast expanse of the Irish Sea.

Holyhead re-routed two holes which has led to the ninth becoming a par five and the course lengthening to 6508 yards.
