A charming village where neither the green nor main street are the centre, houses and cottages are lie along leafy lanes on the edge of Needwood Forest with an old inn, and the beautiful Hall.
Hoar Cross Hall was built for the Meynell Ingrams in the Jacobean style in 1862 and since the family moved out, it is now used for medieval banquets in summer.
The Church of the Holy Angels, is a large church built in memory of Hugo Meynell Ingram, of the Hall by his young widow.
