Open: March to June, Monday to Friday, tours every half hour from 10am-4pm. July & August, same hours plus open weekends 12-4pm. September and October, Monday to Friday tours every half hour from 10am-4pm. November and December, Monday to Friday tours at 2pm and 3.30pm. January and February, tours by appointment only. Closed Christmas and New Year.
Admission charge gift shop audio-visual WC car park disabled access guided tours with a free dram at the end A 200 year old distillery and the most northern whisky distillery in the world. You can tour the distillery and traditional floor maltings (still in use).
Most days there is a kiln burning. It is not known when the first distillery was established in Orkney, but there were almost certainly local producers by the middle of the 18th century.
