Home of the Earls of Carnarvon, it is set in a magnificent landscaped parkland. A splendid example of early Victorian architecture, with an unrivalled run of richly decorated interiors. Paintings by the old masters mix with portraits by Van Dyck and 18th century painters.

The 5th Earl of Carnarvon is famous for his association with the discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. There is an exhibition of antiquities from his earlier discoveries at Thebes.
The park is spectacular, featuring magnificent lawns, a walled garden where the Secret Garden was filmed, a monks garden, glass houses and a fernery.
