A pleasant village to the north of Hickling Broad, the largest of the Broads, with sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and other sports attract visitors. Artists love this area for both the water and wildlife.
The Pleasure Boat Inn is a very popular pub.
The restored church is Perpendicular, with fierce tower gargoyles, and the remains of a 12th century priory.
The Hall dates from the 18th century.
