URPoint Details
This village stands on the Newbury to Goring road and is almost entirely surrounded by woodlands, through which pleasing walks lead to the ancient earthworks of Grimsbury Castle, within which stands an l8th century battlemented tower.
The village itself has grown as a residential area and modern houses stand amid the trees. The community is served by a village hall and school.
The church was built in 1835 in a mock-Norman style and was founded by Queen Adelaide who gave it some of its furnishings.
