Henry I born 1068 and died 1 December 1135 (aged 66) at Saint-Denis-en-Lyons, in Normandy and was buried in Reading Abbey, Berkshire. The youngest son of William the Conqueror and third of the Norman line of kings, and succeeded his brother William II in 1100.
He married Matilda, daughter of Malcolm III of Scotland and his Saxon wife Margaret.
