URPoint Details
The Domesday Book records that there were four freemen farming about 60 acres between them and the lord of the manor was William, Earl of Warren, who married William I’s step-daughter Gundreda.
Victorian cottages, beautiful large green, the Bell Inn, Saxon church and the Manor which is home to the Marquess of Townshend, make up this truly lovely unspoilt little village.
