URPoint Details
The Church of St Botolph has a Norman tower which was partly rebuilt in 1865. The tower becomes octagonal when it reaches the level of the clerestory and has 14th century bell openings and a short spire of the same period with a tier of lucarnes. The chancel, with its arch of filleted shafts, is about 1300 and both the sedilia and piscine are original. The porch entrance is early 14th century. On one wall is a large painting of the Royal Arms of James I.
