The great Church of St Augustine, known as the ‘King of Holderness’ dates from the 12th century and is Early English to Perpendicular in style and has one of the finest towers in Yorkshire and is Grade I listed building. A cruciform style church of the 15th century has a 15th century central tower and a 14th century nave.
