URPoint Details
The parish church of All Saints is mainly 13th century. The tower is unusual in that it is built of a chalk construction and faced with local sandstone. The spire is also of interest as it was built purposely on a tilt to allow for the prevailing winds. Inside the tower the date of 1445 in Arabic figures is one of the earliest recorded in England.
