URPoint Details
An attractive village on the chalk downs near Winchester. The church lies in the woods a little away from the village near a stream and the main Winchester road.
The church is mainly Anglo-Saxon with later additions and has a charming 15th century brass to a Winchester schoolboy. The 11th century rood set against the west wall of the original Anglo-Saxon church is of great importance as it shows Christ, the Virgin Mary and St John with the hand of God above.
