Over 100 acres of lavender fields around Heacham and at Choseley Farm, 5½ m east are best seen July and August.
The church of St Mary's is 13th century and has later additions. A 2ft high brass on the west wall commemorates a knight of 1485.
The village sign shows a portrait of the Red Indian princess Pocahontas who married John Rolfe in 1614. She died at 22 and left a son who migrated to Virginia, USA. President Woodrow Wilson's wife was a descendant.
