URPoint Details
The traditional festival takes place on the Friday and Saturday after the first Monday in June. On the Friday the ‘Cornet’ and his men ride the town’s marches and afterwards ‘buss’ the colours on the ‘Teribus’ Memorial in the High St. Early next morning they climb the Moot Hill to sing the ancient song ‘Teribus ye Teri Odin’ supposedly to Thor and Odin.
