URPoint Details
A charming county town with narrow streets overlooking the River Cleddau with a charter granted by James I and was the only town in Great Britain to have a Lord Lieutenant.
The town is built on the side of a hill above the Western Cleddau and has a very steep High Street and has three old churches of interest.
The Norman castle built in the early 1100s was just one of a chain of castles across Pembrokeshire.
