Havant once a market town famous for making parchment. Right in the centre of the town stands the interesting 13th church of St Faith, where four streets meet.
The Church of St Faith is mainly Early English in style and much restored. It has old foundations and the there is still evidence of Roman concrete. The chancel is 13th century, the vestry 14th century and there is a brass to William Aylward, dated 1413, rector here and secretary to William of Wykeham
