URPoint Details
The village is a typical Thames Valley village in the valley of the Chilterns and the approach road is sheltered by beeches. In the centre of the square under tall chestnut trees are the cottages, an inn and a village pump. There are Georgian houses including the Rectory and the Manor House dates from 1604.
The church has been described as a miniature cathedral.
