URPoint Details
The restored 14th Church of St Cuthbert is one of the best in Lancashire. The 15th century octagonal tower rises from a square base, with a spire. There is a good Decorated chancel, with a fine medieval doorway and the original oak door has traceried a top. The choir vestry was erected in 1592. A 14th century tomb recess has a later effigy, and a table-tomb of 1523, also with effigies.
