Disabled parking 20m from entrance with loose gravel surface; disabled visitors may park through the gate, nearer the abbey. Access to museum/ticket point via level then ramped access. Ruins of Cistercian abbey founded in 1246 by Richard, Earl of Cornwall, with monastic buildings and cloister. The site museum contains a fine collection of 13th century carved roof bosses, decorated medieval floor tiles and architectural fragments. The seventeen cloister arches and excavated remains are set in lovely surroundings.
