URPoint Details

On the main road from St Neots to Kimbolton is Hail Weston, a place that once achieved fame for the curative waters of its mineral springs. In the 17th century people came here to be cured of skin diseases and sight disorders.
The Church of St Nicholas, well restored in 1884, has a shingled spire, an Early-English font, a 15th century screen and some 16th century poppy-head bench ends.

The Church of St Botolph's has a Norman tower which was partly rebuilt in 1865. The tower becomes octagonal when it reaches the level of the clerestory and has 14th century bell openings and a short spire of the same period with a tier of lucarnes. The chancel, with its arch of filleted shafts, is about 1300 and both the sedilia and piscine are original. The porch entrance is early-14th century. On one wall is a large painting of the Royal Arms of James I.
The village has two pubs, one of which is thatched.
