URPoint Details
A village with an interesting tower known as ‘May’s Folly’ and stands 170ft high, it is all that remains with the gatehouse of Hadlow Castle, a 19th century mansion.
The Parish church dates from the 12th century and has an interesting pyramidal spire. It was for centuries the property of the Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem, and there a number of Crusader’s crosses cut into the door, which is believed to be of Anglo-Saxon origin.
