A tiny seaside resort and where the main beach known as Church Cove due to the parish church being built on the sands.
Church of St Winwalloe is an isolated church has been standing here since at least the 15th century and has a detached bell tower.
In 1770 the 'Saint Andrew', a Portuguese ship dating from 1525 was shipwrecked here and the beach was combed for its treasure. Professional shipwreck hunters have also combed the beach here for treasures from a wreck in 1785.
