The Walks is a row of 18th century red and blue brick cottages that lie behind lime trees and forms one side of the medieval village green.

The 17th century Gothic style church has a Jacobean pulpit and some Victorian glass.
The boundary between Kent and East Sussex is Kent Water, which feeds the River Medway.
Groombridge Place is a handsome house built in the Wren style and the lovely garden is open during the summer at special times.
