The most imposing house in the village of attractive houses is the Jacobean Stone Grange dating from 1617.
There are several other fine buildings including the 17th Manor House, the red brick Higher House is 18th century and the lovely black-and-white half-timbered Step House.
The red sandstone church of All Saints was rebuilt in 1839-40, and has a narrow west tower with a projecting parapet in the Italian style.
