The Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul dates back to the 14th century and is unusually far from the town centre. It is a spacious church filled with light from windows added over 500 years ago.
Stone angels with shields support the nave roof and the chancel wall has an exquisite arcade of seven bays and finials and pinnacles ending in small carved heads.
The Norman font is an octagonal bowl the sides were re-cut in the 15th century.
